Comparative analysis of inscriptions on Vyatka region gravestones in the context of the Orthodox Christian and the Old Believer world outlook.

The inscriptions on the gravestones found in two cemeteries – the Orthodox Christian and the Old Believers – are widely quoted and analyzed here from the escxatologic point of view. The author puts in head quiries on Old Believers specific evaluation of the enevitable hour, Old Believers peculiar conception of the sin and the confession and how it was verbalized in traditional inscriptions on gravestones in cemeteries of both confessional groups.
