Friendly relations of the two well-known Baltic Old Believers bear witness of their deep interest in study and preservation of the Russian cultural heritage. The author of the writing makes more precise Pimen Sofronov`s biographical data and draws an outline of the Estonian and Latvian Old Believers thread of life context in the prewar period. The contribution in the Old Believer culture of the 20th century by a talanted icon-painter Pimen Sofronov and an outstanding expert in history of the Old Believe Ivan Zavoloko is in the focus of her research work.
