The 2nd International Zavoloko Conference "Life as Service" was dedicated to the memory of Ivan Nikiforovich Zavoloko, an outstanding representative of Pomorye Old Belief whose 110th anniversary was celebrated on December 17, 2007. Representatives of the Old Believer Church of Pomorye, scientists and Old Belief researchers from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Russia, Belarus and Japan participated in the conference work.

At the final plenary session the participants noted the importance of discussions and admitted that the conference met international standards. They approved the following decisions:

1. to proceed the work of the International Zavoloko Conference in next years;

2. to submit an application to the Riga City Council to name one of the city streets after Ivan Nikiforovich Zavoloko;

3. to expand and strengthen contacts among Old Believer communities;

4. to use the International Zavoloko Conference as an exchange of experience in different fields of spiritual and cultural life;

5. to promote and support spiritual and cultural heritage of Old Belief, thus encouraging growth of tolerance in society;

6. to involve young people to study spiritual and cultural heritage of Old Believers;

7. to support the cultural dialogue between the Old Believers and other ethnic and religious communities, promoting social integration process.
